I grew up in a culture where there were hundreds of superstitions and there were millions of gods. If you go on this journey, you will get a community that will care for you and let you know it’s okay to be vulnerable. The psychological based learnings actually works if you deeply involve yourself and the movement techniques balances the body and mind. Seriously, the program kept my sanity (during COVID) because I live by myself. The whole sense of a community and the routine of it really kept us connected. And the different exercises were extremely helpful in relieving stress and learning how to deal with emotions. I attribute that to the community, creative expression, and the writing. I was skeptical. I’m a scientist, engineer, probably an introvert as well. I think it’s okay to be skeptical. I think it’s good to start with just a little bit of curiosity. I was a little more resistant at first because I like to go on my own path. But I decided to give it a go, and it was so good overcoming my resistance and pushing my comfort zone to explore some of these things and resolve them.
